How do your programs usually run in schools?
For the “Girl Essentials” program, schools select one core and two workshops, which are each approximately 50 minutes in length. Allowing time for a 25-minute general introduction, a farewell, a short break and some transition time between workshops, Girl Essentials runs for approximately 3 and a half hours.
The full-day program “The Butterfly Effect” allows for a core workshop and 3 or 4 other workshops of your choice. Workshops run from 50 minutes to 1 hour. We usually find one 10-minute break and a larger break for lunch is sufficient – the girls often choose to stay and talk with us during these breaks anyway!
“The Journey” and “Career Gal” programs comprise of a series of set workshops, each just under 1 hour in length. Time is allocated for breaks.
We work with one year group at a time, except in boarding schools, where we combine different ages into one group. This means we may adapt content and the method of delivery to ensure it is age appropriate. We can, and do, work with anywhere between 50 and 350 girls in one day.
