Jane Higgins
(B.S.W.)
“I believe we have the power to be the authors of our own lives. I am really excited about working with enlighten and being part of the transformation process. My goal is to help all young women not only to feel proud of who they are, but to aspire to reach their full potential.”
Jane developed a strong sense of her roles as both an advocate for women and as a change maker when attending Woodlands C.E.G.G.S. (now known as St Peter’s Woodlands Grammar School). Her desire to be a facilitator for personal growth was further fuelled when she completed her Bachelor of Social work. During this time she had the opportunity to work extensively with people with intellectual and physical disabilities and revelled in supporting them to gain independence. More recently, Jane has extended her own personal and professional development by embarking on a Masters in Counseling.
Her previous experiences as a State Trainer and Representative for a leading French cosmetic company, and as a manager for a leading women’s boutique, bring valuable and unique insights into the beauty industry and allow her to help young girls deconstruct the messages with which they are bombarded.
Jane now combines studying with raising her young children and assisting clients to make positive changes to their lives in her private practice.

Jane is particularly passionate about body image and the correlation it has with the media, as well as issues of self esteem, sexuality and women’s health.
