QLD Program Director
Storm Greenhill-Brown
Bachelor of Arts (Drama), Graduate Diploma (Education), Associate Diploma (Arts/Theatre)
"As a mother of three and a committed advocate for the rights of young people, I feel compelled to help teenagers critique the toxic junk culture that surrounds them. My goal with Enlighten is to help young girls navigate this environment while developing a sense of self that will make them more resilient, independent, joyful and safe."
Storm is a highly qualified and experienced drama and English teacher who has taught at tertiary, secondary, and primary school levels in Queensland and overseas. A former professional actor, Storm also spent time working as part of a Theatre In Education ensemble touring schools throughout Queensland. She is currently the co-director of Learning Performance Seminars in Queensland, a private national organization offering workshops for secondary students to improve their study skills.
In her work with students, Storm uses the creative process as a framework through which young people can actively explore their identities and the roles they fulfill within society. She is dedicated to helping them express a genuine voice that will be heard and valued, in order to heighten their sense of self-belief and self-respect. In our media-saturated environment, teenagers are particularly susceptible to the stereotypes of popular culture. Storm's mission is to challenge this and empower young women to be their own culture shapers and creators.
* Enlighten Education Queensland is independently owned and operated by Storm Greenhill-Brown.

Louise Beddoes
Bachelor of Arts
“With two young girls of my own, I’m aware of the pressures school-age children face. I enjoy the positive and practical ways I am able to use my skills as a parent to assist girls to grow in strength and confidence in our commercialised world. I only wish support mechanisms like this were in existence in my own school years!”
Before joining Enlighten Education, Louise worked in the corporate world. As a recruitment consultant, she managed three offices for an international recruitment agency in Sydney. This gave her an informed perspective on the skills employers require and how young job seekers can operate successfully in the competitive job market. Her experience as an account executive in the advertising industry provided Louise with an intimate understanding of the influence of media and popular culture. She now hopes to break down stereotypes that the media reinforces, so that girls can be objective in judging the value of the images they are confronted with every day.
A change of career since motherhood saw Louise return to her first love, dance. As a young dancer, she performed throughout Australia and the UK, and over the past 13 years, she has taught various dance disciplines. Her current focus is on teaching young children and Irish dance, although her range has included classical ballet, jazz, tap and African dance. She has choreographed or workshopped for school and community dance programs.
Louise has an interest in yoga and meditation, which she believes brings a unique perspective of simplicity to the complexities faced in daily life. She hopes to inspire young girls and women to seek simple joys through the power of positive thinking.
Catherine Stark
Yoga and Chiropractic Assistance - may be offered through practical versions of our "Chill Out" and "Stop, Revive, Survive" workshops.
Bachelor of Human Services in Child and Family Services
“What I have learnt from life and yoga is that we face constant challenges and consistent change within us as we grow and mature. If we choose to be positive about the challenges we face, we will become stronger in ourselves and grow in confidence. I enjoy sharing my yoga philosophy of ‘keeping it simple’, with tools that many young girls out there may find useful, be it when dealing with stressful exams or difficult relationships.”
Catherine has had the joy of studying and teaching yoga to many age groups for a number of years. Her work focuses on supporting children and young people to find their true potential. Catherine believes that teaching the younger generation to be happy within themselves and accepting of others will help our society to become more engaging and tolerant of difference.

Testimonials:
“All schools should provide the opportunity for their Year 9 girls to experience this program - those that choose not to are doing their girls a disservice. This college went into the program unsure of what to expect – it took a few minutes to realise that Storm and staff could do more in one day than we 'ordinary' staff could achieve in a year. I strongly recommend Enlighten Education to all."
Geoff Pritzler, Pastoral Coordinator, Our Lady’s College, Annerley
"All the girls were excited and really enjoyed the day. Thank you for your presentation! Our girls loved it!"
Terri Hinde, Year 6 teacher, Longreach State School
"Storm and Lou - you’re positive and vibrant! Great role models!"
Tracey Hart, Principal, Longreach State School
"Storm - you were an inspiration to the girls that just don’t believe in themselves and life. Thank you! My girls are still talking about you!"
Meg Stuart, Year 7 teacher, Longreach State School
“The girls really enjoyed the workshop and gained accurate and valuable information from its content. The presentation was professional and ideally targeted to the girls. Materials were very well prepared and the use of music was enjoyed by the girls and enhanced their enjoyment and engagement with the workshop.”
Hazel Raymond, Head of Mc Culloch House, St Hilda’s School
“It’s great to be able to have a common language to talk to our girls about their issues. I love the 'words are powerful and magical' message and will use that as our Year-8 girls’ anthem!! I really enjoyed being able to spend this time with our girls, thank you.”
Jasmine Bunting, Year 8 Coordinator
