Do we really want these to be the only role models presented to our teenage girls?

Wherever they look these days teenage girls are bombarded by advice about what to eat, how to act, how to look, how to please someone and how to be liked. Popular culture programs, magazines, movies and websites all dispense information and so-called “advice” to vulnerable and impressionable young girls.

But who dispenses this advice? Who determines the right look and way to act?

Enlighten Education offers innovative and exciting programs aimed at empowering and inspiring teenage girls. Created by experienced educators with a proven track record of success, Enlighten is the ideal program to help girls decode the mixed messages they receive and help them develop self-esteem and confidence.

Our programs are specifically designed to be delivered in schools. Programs are targeted at Years 5 through to 12 (for girls from 12 – 18 years of age); Enlighten helps meet the needs of today’s girls.

Our workshops recognise and celebrate the diverse interests of teenage girls. We cover everything from helping the girls discover their own inner beauty and developing their personal style, to managing stress and even developing business plans. Enlighten encourages girls to be discerning consumers and critical thinkers, we encourage them to find their own voice and feel powerful in a complex world.

We also believe learning should be fun. Enlighten workshops provide a positive, engaging range of experiences that girls enjoy from start to finish. The team’s experience at the management level of Secondary school ensures a complete understanding of school structures and requirements: constraints of timetables, syllabus outcomes and effective communication are understood and applied thoroughly.
